This 1986 Porsche 944 (951) turbo is fully built and only needs to go through tech inspection to be race legal. The engine has a Guru chip and is running 16 psi boost. The full roll cage was built by Kremyr Racing of Abbotsford, B.C. The car now weighs 2,566 lb., down from the factory 2,822 lb.
The suspension has been converted to late offset lower control arms and also features KW V3 double adjustable coil over shocks, geometry correcting extended lower ball joints, and adjustable sway bars front and rear. A four-wheel alignment was done in October 2024 in anticipation of getting it onto the track before the end of the season but unfortunately, we didn’t make it. It has 996 turbo Big Red brake calipers and rotors on the front and Porsche factory Carrera Cup 17x9 wheels all around.
The steering wheel is removable. There is a manual steering rack in the car now, but a power steering rack is also included if that option is preferred. It has a Sparco race seat and a RaceQuip six-point harness.
This ready to go Turbo Porsche couldn’t be built for the asking price. Just the cage and the upgrades alone would cost more than that. Essentially, ‘you buy the modifications and you get the car for free!’ And you could be on the racetrack with this very competitive car this coming season!
