1994 VW GTI COX RT
Car number 2 out of 18 built by COX Inc Japan (VW Racing Japan) for the 2000 Volkswagen Racing GTI Cup.
Documented first registration May 1999 (yes, car was unused until 1999)
2009 purchased the vehicle in Japan and imported to Poland where the vehicle was used for historic tarmac rally events.
Imported to Canada in 2017, the vehicle does have a valid Ontario ownership but was never plated or driven on the road. Yes, it could be plated if someone desired.
Only 20738 km on the original chassis, engine has 562 km after rebuild, transmission inspected 427 km, shock absorbers 4365 km after revision
CASC log booked and VARAC registered
Currently raced in VARAC CL-2, my best CTMP lap is 1:37.3 on Hoosier A7. You can either upgrade to a full slick and be more competitive in CL-2 or downgrade tire spec and run CL-3.
Engine last dyno’ed at 170 whp , vehicle empty weight is 1075 kg / 2370 lb
