Its engine is a compact 998cc three-cylinder unit, custom turbo installed with motorsport header and exhaust. It is tuned to 94 octane gas. It is coupled to a five-speed sequential manual gearbox with paddle shift, and with selectable 2WD or 4WD and differential lock.
This Yamaha was originally supplied to Brandon Semenuk, and was converted to an American Rally Association legal rally vehicle soon after delivery.
EQUIPMENT AND FEATURES
As standard, the YXZ comes with dual rear-mounted radiators with high-volume fans, as well as FOX Racing long-travel suspension.
The gearbox features Sport-Shift paddle levers, as well as Intelligent Yamaha chip-controlled shift (YCC-S) for efficient clutchless SE shifting. There is also a simple launch control system.
Modified to American Rally Association regulations, it now features a custom roll cage, custom windshield, wiper motor and door panels, and custom roof/air ducting for the radiator. The front end was also reinforced with added bracing, and it rides on 15-inch Method rally racing wheels.
Its engine has been upgraded with a Yamaha GYTR turbocharger kit, and there is also a Weller Racing HD front end kit and Weller Racing power steering box.
The YXZ has also been fitted with corner lights and an LED roof-mounted light bar.
A quick-release steering wheel has been installed, along with relocation of the paddle shifters so that they turn with the wheel. The custom specification also includes a brake bias adjuster, motorsport fuel cell, OMP HTE-R seats and five-point Sabelt harnesses.

CONDITION
There is a crack in the windshield, but no damage to the custom body panels or original frame.
Its original paintwork is still in good overall condition, though the wrap over the top is damaged from peeling event stickers off.
There are no known electrical or mechanical faults.
The vehicle was disassembled and re-prepared after one rally event it participated in, to ensure it was in excellent rally-ready condition again. It will be due a service at the 500km mark.
